PRESIDENT HASSAN SHEIKH SAID, "AFRICAN-ITALY COOPERATION CAN NOT BE WORKING IF AN AFRICAN COUNTRY VIOLATES THE BORDER OF ANOTHER COUNTRY"

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who gave a speech at the Forum of Italy and Africa, mentioned the good future of Somalia, the investment opportunities, and the resources of our country, which benefit both the local community and the global community.


The president pointed out that international cooperation depends on respecting the rule of law and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries.
"The cooperation between Africa and Italy cannot be effective if an African country violates the borders of another country, and this is an example of the failed attempt by Ethiopia to intervene in our country's independence.


The President pointed out the challenges facing the government of Somalia and the resilience faced by the Somali people, saying that the liberation of the areas under the control of terrorists goes hand in hand with plans to strengthen the government and strengthen cooperation, and the role of Somalia in the region, which include; joining the East African Community, lifting the arms embargo and completing debt relief.


"Somalia can be proud of its God-given resources in the areas of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Energy, and its strategic position, which are accompanied by active people, mostly young people, who are ambitious and innovative. Joining the East African Community has greatly encouraged our business outlook.”
