Mogadishu, February 11, 2024; The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who held a meeting with the women members of the People's Assembly and the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, shared the government's plan to complete the process of governance, the Constitution and the liberation of the country.

The President pointed out that women MPs are central to the defense of the Somali generations' heritage, independence, and unity of the country, and stressed that the ongoing discussions on the completion of the constitution should complement the issues of priority for Somali women by Islam Shari'a and Somali culture.

"Somali women are the leaders who encourage us to defend and liberate, they are the ones who are the ones who are in the middle of the rescue in difficult times. 


For the country to have a complete constitution, greatness, honor, and dignity are increasing for everyone who has a role in it, and I want you to work fairly and based on the basic principles that unite the nation.

President Hassan Sheikh pointed out the challenges facing the government of Somalia and the stubbornness faced by the Somali people, and he urged the ladies of both Houses of Parliament to unite their representatives and organize themselves to achieve their goals.
